Patrick advises clients on a diverse spectrum of real estate property law. He has acted in more than 30 collective sale and property development projects. He has undertaken real estate transactions including tenders, private treaties, development and sales of residential, industrial and commercial properties, refinancing arrangements, amalgamation of titles, subdivisions, privatisation of estates, leases and tenancies as well as property disputes.
Patrick has also advised clients on a wide variety of commercial and corporate share transactions involving property investments and holding companies, including acquisitions, joint venture agreements and structuring of companies.
He is a member of the Law Society of Singapore and Singapore Academy of Law.
His practice covers a wide spectrum of work and Henry’s depth of experience includes international and domestic arbitration, litigation, mediation, inquiries as well as adjudication under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act. Henry is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution, and appointed as an arbitrator on LSAS Panel of Arbitrators and SIArb. He is also an Associate Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre, as well as the Law Society Mediation Scheme and has been an appointed member of the Inquiry Panel since 2013, and also acts as Counsel for the Law Society of Singapore for cases in the High Court of Singapore.
Kevin has over 25 years of experience in dispute resolution and his practice focuses on commercial disputes, which includes litigation, arbitration and mediation. He regularly acts as counsel in arbitrations under SIAC and ICC regimes as well as ad hoc arbitrations. He also takes on appointments as arbitrator, both as sole arbitrator or as part of a panel.
Kevin is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators as well as an Accredited Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre and a Senior Mediator with the Law Society Mediation Scheme.
Robson has more than 28 years’ experience advising client on a range of licensing, securities, banking, insurance, trustee duties and financial market regulatory compliance, SGX listing compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory investigations. He also represents Singapore public companies on cross-border M&A and foreign joint venture investments, and advises local and foreign companies in their funds raising and market flotations.
Robson received his LL.B. (Hons, 2nd Class Upper) from the National University of Singapore in 1993. He is an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and a Solicitor in England and Wales.
Hui Ying’s practice sees her predominantly handle motor, public liability and professional liability claims, with an emphasis in recent years on motor insurance fraud and causation cases involving whiplash claims in low-speed collisions. She has successfully defended and contested many of these claims in the State Courts.
Her extensive experience in disputes work means that her advice is frequently sought by clients for policy construction and drafting issues. She has also advised the General Insurance Association on the Insurance Amendment Bill, which came into force on 1 September 2009.
Charlene practises commercial litigation with a focus on shipping, logistics and international trade matters. Charlene has acted for Protection & Indemnity Clubs, shipowners, ship agents, ship brokers and freight forwarders in collision claims, cargo claims and charterparty disputes amongst others. She has also advised creditors in insolvency and restructuring proceedings.
Gina is a litigator with extensive experience and has been actively engaged in a wide spectrum of general, civil and commercial litigation, arbitration and advisory work. She counts a diverse range of corporations, MNCs and business owners, and insurers as her clients whom she works with on matters including commercial disputes, company and shareholder disputes, employment law matters, and banking disputes.
Gina has also acted in numerous construction disputes for both public and private projects and developments, and adjudication proceedings under Singapore’s Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act (“SOP Act”). Pursuant to the Specialist Accreditation Scheme in Singapore in 2017, Gina became the first batch of 24 lawyers to gain accreditation as a Specialist in Building and Construction Law.
Karnan specialises in international arbitration and multi-jurisdictional disputes in the commodities, shipping and marine insurance sectors. Having worked in Asia for over 20 years, he has extensive practical experience handling matters involving jurisdictions across the region. He also speaks and reads Malay and Bahasa Indonesia.
His clients include trading houses, vessel owners / charterers, offshore energy contractors, P&I Clubs and marine insurers.
Karnan regularly represents clients in international arbitrations in London, Singapore and Hong Kong and also appears as Counsel in Singapore Court proceedings.
He is a member of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitrators Procedure Committee and was appointed by the Singapore Academy of Law in January 2020 as a Senior Accredited Specialist in Maritime and Shipping Law in recognition of his extensive expertise and experience in maritime and shipping law. Karnan is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is on the SCMA Panel of Arbitrators and the SIAC Reserve Panel of Arbitrators.
His main area of focus is on litigation and advisory work relating to the motor and general insurance sector in Singapore, the motor industry trade including drafting and advising on vehicle warranties, sales and purchase agreements, bidding agreements, sales of goods advisory and litigation work, consumer rights in relation to sales of goods, contractual disputes, employment disputes, claims for commissions disputes, claims for defective goods disputes, claims for defective workmanship disputes, motorcar warranty claims and disputes.
Patrick’s practice has covered litigation and advisory work relating to insurance and reinsurance matters and claims that encompass motor insurance namely traffic accidents, defendant personal injury, policy coverage and disputes general and professional negligence, industrial accidents, road, occupier’s liability, public liability, fire and water damage claims, plant and equipment claims, insurance fraud, restitution claims and subrogation recovery.
Christopher advises clients on a wide spectrum of legal issues on both contentious and non-contentious matters. The range of matters includes commercial litigation, company law, landlord and tenant, property-related claims, contentious probate matters, arbitration and mediation, corporate advisory, transactions and compliance, and employment and immigration matters.
Christopher is a member of the Advisory Committee of a Government Secondary School and his key responsibilities include looking after the welfare and financial needs of students from low-income families.
